Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Let’s Watch at letswatch.xyz (the “Service”), operated by Anthony Katwan (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
1. What the Service does
Let’s Watch helps you choose a movie. You answer a short survey, on your own or in a shared room with other people, and the Service uses an AI model and third-party movie data to suggest films, show trailers, and indicate where they may be available to stream. No account is required.
An account is optional and only needed for Let’s Watch Pro. You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure. Anyone who can open the link can sign in as you.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. To buy a paid plan you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
3. Rooms and what you share
When you join a room, the name you enter, the films you save and the films you mark as seen are visible to other people in that room, and the film that gets picked is visible to anyone with the room’s link. Your survey answers are used to generate suggestions. Don’t enter anything you wouldn’t want shared with the people you invite, and don’t enter sensitive personal information.
You keep whatever rights you have in what you enter. You give us permission to store and process it as needed to run the Service, including sending survey answers to our AI provider to generate suggestions.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Service. That includes trying to break or overload it, getting around its limits, scraping it, accessing rooms you weren’t invited to, or using it to harass anyone. We may limit or block access if you do.
5. Suggestions and third-party information
Suggestions are generated automatically and may not suit you. Movie details, trailers and streaming availability come from third parties, including TMDB, JustWatch and YouTube, and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check age ratings and content yourself, especially for children. Links to streaming services and other sites are provided for convenience; we don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them.
6. Paid plans
The core Service is free. Let’s Watch Pro is a monthly subscription that remembers your taste across nights. If you buy it:
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t receive or store your full card details.
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per account. Your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the Pro page (letswatch.xyz/pro). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we don’t give refunds or credits for partial periods. If you think you were charged in error, email us and we’ll look into it.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before the change applies to your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Prices may not include taxes, which are added where applicable.
7. Changes to the Service
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, limits (such as how many batches of suggestions a room can request) and availability. If we discontinue a paid feature, we’ll refund any unused prepaid portion.
8. Our content
The Service’s software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. Movie posters, images and data belong to their respective owners. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that suggestions or availability information will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Ending use
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive termination.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the effective date at the top, and for material changes affecting paid plans we’ll give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United States, except where the laws of the place you live give you rights that can’t be waived.
